Job Summary:
We are on the lookout for a passionate and knowledgeable Mechanical Engineering Manager to spearhead the mechanical engineering operations within our medium voltage switchgear division. The successful candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in switchgear design, a knack for mentoring budding engineers, and a comprehensive grasp of industry standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical engineering team in the innovative design and development of medium voltage switchgear products.
- Convert single-line and three-line electrical diagrams into precise mechanical layouts, including 3D renderings and detailed views.
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with clearance requirements and functional specifications across multiple voltage levels.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams for the seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards, including ANSI, ASME, NEC, and UL.
- Drive continuous enhancements in mechanical design processes, tools, and documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers, cultivating a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Engage in design reviews and provide technical oversight throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Maintain responsibility for engineering schedules and KPIs.
