Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Fitter at Catalyx, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional lifecycle services to regulated and high-stakes markets. Your commitment to innovation and excellence will empower organizations in the life sciences and other highly regulated fields to optimize their operations and achieve success. We are continuously expanding our on-site teams to enhance customer operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and fabrication tasks in strict compliance with site EHS standards, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
Conduct work in accordance with approved SOPs, risk assessments, and method statements consistently.
Engage in site safety initiatives, participating in toolbox talks, safety training, emergency drills, and reporting unsafe conditions or near misses.
Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance on utilities and process equipment.
Test and maintain safety-critical equipment, including safety showers and eyewash stations.
Monitor and maintain fans, pumps, valves, pipework, and utility systems to ensure reliable operation.
Perform routine checks on production skids to identify leaks, vibrations, or abnormal noises.
Troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment, including centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, executing seal changes, alignment, and bearing replacements as necessary.
Service, repair, and reinstall various types of valves, including ball, butterfly, diaphragm, and check valves.
Select and replace gaskets and seals while ensuring chemical compatibility.
Fabricate and install new process pipework and mechanical components adhering to industry standards.
