Job Title: Mechanical Utility Engineer II
Department: Facility Technology Team
Shift: Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Direct Report: FTT Unit Manager
Type: Full-time; Exempt
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Utility Engineer II to spearhead the implementation of a proactive maintenance system, aiming for world-class performance in tire manufacturing with a utility supply uptime goal of 100%. Your primary focus will be optimizing processes to achieve this critical metric.
Key Performance Indicators: Reduction in machine faults and downtime, enhanced Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), improved planned maintenance activities, minimized labor and material costs, longevity of equipment, increased planned maintenance percentages, and elimination of workplace hazards.
As a Mechanical Utility Engineer, you will equip maintenance technicians with the necessary tools, parts, and procedures to meet these objectives.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire tire manufacturing process.
- Oversee all mechanical aspects related to utility supply for the facility.
- Manage equipment including industrial air compressors, steam boilers, HVAC chillers, rooftop HVAC equipment, pipe systems, and pumps and tanks.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the designation of serial numbers for components, manage orders, and maintain inventory records in SAP.
- Accurately and timely create consultation forms with minimal assistance.
- Mentor assistant engineers and maintenance technicians.
- Ensure all activities and plans are prepared for audits.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, as our facility operates 24/7, to ensure all tasks meet deadlines.
- Interpret engineering specifications and resolve routine to intermediate problems using established procedures.
- Draft engineering specifications.
- Collect, analyze, and present data in reports to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
