ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Deal Desk Media Planner will play a vital role in supporting Genius Sports’ Deal Desk by overseeing incoming planning requests, developing standardized and customized media packages, and ensuring accurate inventory tracking across both Always-On and bespoke programs. This position is essential for enhancing deal throughput as demand increases, allowing senior planners to concentrate on strategic initiatives while guaranteeing consistent, repeatable, and high-quality planning outputs across all inventory and audience products. The Media Planner will significantly contribute to accelerating speed-to-market, improving standardization, and maximizing revenue efficiency within the sales organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee inbound deal requests from Sales, Account Management, and Client Success teams.
- Develop Always-On and Custom media packages that align with inventory availability, audience definitions, and commercial goals.
- Maintain and update the inventory calendar, ensuring accurate visibility into availability, flighting, and sell-through rates.
- Support the standardization of packaging, pricing inputs, and planning workflows across media products.
- Work closely with commercial stakeholders to implement planning strategies at scale, managing feedback loops for continuous optimization.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in proposals, including targeting, inventory assumptions, and delivery expectations.
- Identify process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and minimize friction.
- Collaborate across departments with Product, Sales, Deal Desk, and Media Operations teams.
