ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Peloton as a Media Workflow Engineer, where you will be pivotal in shaping our post-production and broadcast infrastructure. This dual-role position combines impactful project execution with essential operational support. Act as the chief architect for our Media Asset Management (MAM) and workflow systems, ensuring optimal performance of our content delivery in a fast-paced, global broadcasting environment.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Oversee the upkeep of our MAM (Backlight Iconik) and shared storage systems (OpenDrives, Quantum).
- Design, construct, and enhance automated workflows in both on-premises and cloud environments, utilizing transcoding pipelines such as Telestream Vantage, Hiscale FLICS, and GLIM.
- Lead the technical aspects of metadata taxonomy, video codecs, and delivery standards, ensuring smooth integration across software and cloud engineering teams.
- Deliver expert-level support for Mac, Linux, and Windows server environments while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for our evolving architecture.
- Collaborate with Post-Production and Broadcast teams to translate creative visions into robust technical solutions, from cloud-based archiving to infrastructure enhancements.
- As a vital member of our agile team, assist with Proof of Concept (PoC) testing for new technologies and explore emerging tools to support RFPs, ensuring your voice plays a significant role in the evolution of our systems and workflow technology stack.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for third-party vendors, ensuring the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of critical software and hardware to keep our systems resilient and up to date.
