High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Previous experience as a medical receptionist is preferred.Experience in a dermatology or specialty practice is highly desirable.Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is required.Work Schedule:Monday-Thursday: 8 AM - 4 PM and some Fridays: 8 AM - 2:30 PMCompensation starts at $21/hour

  • Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate personnel and responding to voicemail messages promptly.
  • Efficiently schedule new and follow-up patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Welcome patients warmly upon arrival, checking them in and verifying as well as updating their demographic and insurance information.
  • Handle check-out procedures, including scheduling future visits and collecting co-payments from patients.
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits before patient appointments to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Accurately post charges and co-payments in the practice management system and reconcile daily financial transactions.
  • Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and professional at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative staff to promote a seamless patient flow.
  • Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and workplace safety.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office as required.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary to support office operations.
