- Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate personnel and responding to voicemail messages promptly.
- Efficiently schedule new and follow-up patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Welcome patients warmly upon arrival, checking them in and verifying as well as updating their demographic and insurance information.
- Handle check-out procedures, including scheduling future visits and collecting co-payments from patients.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits before patient appointments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Accurately post charges and co-payments in the practice management system and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and professional at all times.
- Communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative staff to promote a seamless patient flow.
- Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and workplace safety.
- Provide general administrative support to the office as required.
- Perform other related duties as necessary to support office operations.
