On-Call: 1 week every 4–5 weeks

Role Overview:
The Medium-High Voltage BMG Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems in our Hot Rolling Mill. This position requires extensive technical knowledge in power distribution, substations, and high-voltage switchgear systems, along with strong leadership capabilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Given the critical nature of this role, we seek candidates with significant Canadian industrial experience who adhere to provincial and federal safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the electrical maintenance of medium and high-voltage systems within the Hot Rolling Mill.
- Lead a team of electrical technicians in the safe troubleshooting and repair of high-voltage equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance of transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protection relays.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure reliable electrical operations.
- Ensure compliance with CSA Z462 and Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on electrical system faults.
- Coordinate shutdowns, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to enhance system performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports within the CMMS.
- Promote a robust safety culture through effective training and supervision.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Requirements:
- Valid 442A Master Electrician license or equivalent.
- 5+ years of high-voltage electrical maintenance experience in a Canadian industrial setting.
- Completion of Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) training in line with CSA Z462 and OESC standards.
- Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, relays, and other high-voltage equipment.
