About the job
Are you passionate about enhancing patient care? Join our Client Council as a member!
This is a volunteer position (unpaid) where you will provide valuable insights to our Board of Directors on topics that matter to our patients.
The Client Council serves as an advisory body for Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis, established under the Dutch Client Participation in Healthcare Institutions Act (Wmcz 2018). Our mission is to offer both requested and unsolicited advice to the Board of Directors, aiming to safeguard and enhance the quality of care provided.
As a member, you will always act in the collective interests of patients, focusing on overarching themes rather than individual concerns. Topics for discussion include care quality, healthcare developments, and specific changes at Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis. Current themes may address the future of the hospital, considering issues such as aging populations and staff shortages, digitalization in patient care, regional collaboration (network care), and hospital infrastructure.
About the Client Council:
The Client Council consists of six members, including a chairperson, and is supported by an administrative secretary. Meetings occur approximately once a month, with joint meetings with the Board of Directors at least four times a year. Informal consultations with the chairperson of the Board take place regularly.
Members serve voluntarily for a term of four years, which can be extended once for an additional four years. Responsibilities are shared among members, with each focusing on specific areas of interest and providing updates to the group during meetings.
To enhance collaboration, members are encouraged to work in pairs on focus areas, enabling easier replacements and promoting teamwork.
