Position Overview
As a Mid-Level Clerical and Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller (SAF/FM). This position requires detail-oriented individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional administrative and operational support within a structured environment focused on Air Force financial management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and the ability to support senior government personnel in a dynamic setting.
Your contributions will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of SAF/FM through effective administrative practices, clear communication, and reliable follow-through on tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Clerical Support
- Deliver day-to-day clerical and administrative support across various executive and office functions.
- Understand SAF/FM’s mission and organizational structure for effective communication and coordination.
- Monitor communications and manage scheduling for assigned federal staff, including maintaining daily calendars.
Correspondence & Documentation
- Draft, edit, and format correspondence, memorandums, reports, presentations, and official communications.
- Ensure all correspondence requiring signatures is accurate, well-formatted, and compliant with regulations.
- Track and manage correspondence and deadlines using approved databases to ensure timely completion.
- Document and update internal standard operating procedures related to clerical and administrative processes.
Meetings, Conferences & Events
- Plan and coordinate on-site and off-site meetings, conferences, and events for SAF/FM leadership and staff.
- Support high-profile meetings by managing logistics, including venues, attendees, and schedules.
- Prepare presentation materials such as slide templates and meeting binders.
- Set up conference and board rooms with necessary materials and audio/visual equipment.
