Team and Mission
- Responsible for recruitment across the Mercari Group, including new business initiatives, focusing on Engineering/Creative and Business/Corporate sectors. Each recruiter leads hiring for specific roles while leveraging their expertise across the organization.
- This role plays a crucial part in devising and executing recruitment strategies aimed at acquiring key engineering and creative talent that drive Mercari's growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute recruitment activities for the Engineering/Creative fields based on business and organizational strategies.
- Collaborate with international offices and recruit global talent with a diverse perspective.
- Develop and implement bold recruitment strategies utilizing all available assets and diverse channels, including event planning and direct sourcing.
- Lead relationship building with internal and external partners to enhance the candidate experience.
- Manage the recruitment process from application screening, technical assessments, interviews, offer management, to onboarding support.
- Utilize tools such as Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Workable (ATS), LinkedIn, and various AI tools for recruitment.
Unique Challenges
- Contribute to global recruitment strategies targeting diverse and talented candidates beyond Japan.
- Engage in the cutting-edge strategy formulation for new job definitions and recruitment processes in alignment with the group's goal to become AI Native.
- Involve in hiring across various areas, including Creative roles such as designers and UX researchers, depending on organizational needs.
- Participate in technology conferences and event planning to enhance Mercari's branding and build networks within external communities.
- Engage in recruitment across various sectors including not just the Mercari marketplace but also in Fintech initiatives like Merpay and Melcoin, gaining insights into diverse business strategies and technology areas.
Qualifications
- Alignment with Mercari Group's mission and values.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment within corporate or staffing agency settings.
- Professional proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Experience in project management and strategic planning within recruitment.
- A strong curiosity and desire to learn about the latest technologies, business practices, product innovations, and market trends.
- A proven ability to identify and define necessary talent based on organizational needs and successfully execute recruitment.
