Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal support to global HR functions, advising on employment-related legal matters.
- Deliver expert legal advice on a broad range of employment law issues across the APAC region, including employee relations, workplace policies, compliance with labor laws, and terminations.
- Lead the management of external counsels and oversee legal strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other essential employment documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and regulations.
- Design and present training programs on employment law topics tailored for HR teams and management.
- Support senior management in strategic planning and initiatives for workplace improvement.
- Assist in resolving employment disputes through mediation, grievances handling, and representing the company in employment litigation.
- Collaborate with HR and management to formulate and implement effective workplace policies and procedures.
- Advise on best practices for employee performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
- Champion the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives by ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity laws.
