Join the forward-thinking team at Friendship Kia of Beckley as a Kia Certified Service Technician, an exciting opportunity tailored specifically for skilled military veterans. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), designed to empower veterans in starting a fulfilling career in automotive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, handling engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Complete repair orders and warranty requests following established Kia and retailer policies and procedures.
- Test drive vehicles, analyzing and diagnosing components and systems using Kia's diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly while maintaining effective communication with the shop foreman and service advisor to enhance customer satisfaction.
This employment opportunity is with independently owned and operated Kia retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time positions with participating Kia retailers and not with Kia America, Inc. or its affiliates. Qualifications:
- Must have an Honorable Discharge from military service.
- Possess a valid driver's license from any state and maintain a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a technical or mechanical field is mandatory.
- Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks is required.
