About the Position
As a Network Engineer intern, you will collaborate with full-time staff to learn how we sustain and enhance critical infrastructure that underpins our technology. Our extensive distributed systems rely on a robust, multi-vendor network architecture that accommodates all traffic types, from trading operations to internet connectivity.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
- Collaborating on cross-departmental initiatives like site expansions and new colocation setups.
- Debugging and optimizing routing protocols.
- Provisioning new market data feeds and establishing connections with third-party services.
- Automating support tasks to enhance our team’s network monitoring capabilities.
This internship offers a unique perspective on how our team works across various groups to develop solutions that have a firm-wide impact. We prioritize automation to minimize errors and lighten our workloads—plus, it’s a lot of fun! Your internship project may tackle overarching questions we are still exploring or involve the creation of new systems. Your mentors will guide you through the diverse range of challenges we address daily, from swiftly resolving production issues to conducting thorough root-cause analyses and implementing clean, sustainable long-term solutions.
