We are in search of a dedicated Network Planner situated in the Lower Mainland to assist with our fibre expansion and network transformation initiatives.
This pivotal role emphasizes upstream network planning, high-level design development, and field-integrated validation for both fibre and copper infrastructures. The Network Planner will act as a bridge between planning and detailed design functions, ensuring that our solutions are scalable and informed by the realities of existing copper assets while considering our long-term fibre migration strategy.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with designers and project leadership, conducting site visits as necessary to validate planning assumptions and facilitate integrated program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community-level fibre and copper network planning projects
- Design high-level network layouts, develop capacity strategies, and outline migration approaches
- Conduct address analysis and assess infrastructure impacts
- Evaluate copper plant conditions and assist in planning transitions to fibre
- Perform site visits and field validations to ensure planning accuracy
- Identify constraints, risks, and opportunities for optimization early in the project lifecycle
- Work collaboratively with design teams to transition planning concepts into detailed Outside Plant (OSP) designs
- Support integrated delivery models from planning through to construction readiness
