Join our dynamic team at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco, CA as a Neuropsychologist. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is ABPP-CN board-certified or board-eligible, with extensive training and expertise in clinical neuropsychological assessment and intervention services tailored for adult patients.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in providing neuropsychological services to adults from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with known or suspected neuropsychological deficits, including conditions related to Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), epilepsy, functional neurological disorders (FND/FCD), and various medical and mental health challenges, including co-occurring conditions.
As a consulting clinical neuropsychologist, your primary responsibilities will include offering comprehensive neuropsychological diagnostic and consultation services within our ambulatory care programs, and occasionally in inpatient settings. This role encompasses neuropsychological evaluations, patient and family education, and potential involvement in brief cognitive rehabilitation.
You will collaborate with medical staff across Neurology, Mental Health, and Medicine clinics, and may participate in multidisciplinary teams, including the Memory Clinic, Parkinson's Disease Research Education, and the Epilepsy Center of Excellence. Your expertise will help in characterizing neuropsychological functioning, establishing baselines, and guiding clinical care and treatment planning.
Additionally, you will engage in program development, assist the Program Manager in implementation, and contribute to ongoing evaluations. As a clinical educator, you will also train residents in our APA-accredited Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Residency and collaborate with faculty to enhance our training initiatives.
