As a Janitor, your role is crucial to ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our warehouse and customer service areas, including restrooms, aisles, production spaces, and equipment. You will report directly to the Distribution Supervisor or Operations Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility using a daily checklist.
- Assist with special projects as directed.
- Execute all cleaning procedures and documentation safely and efficiently.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of work areas.
- Accurately record hours worked in accordance with company policy.
- Adhere to all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Take on additional responsibilities as required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficient in reading, counting, and documenting accurately.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Capable of various physical activities including bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.
- Willingness to learn and operate general warehouse equipment.
