JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our esteemed Palliative Care team at Stanford Medicine Children's Health. This role is integral to a collaborative environment that includes Attending Physicians, Fellows, and experienced Advanced Practice Providers. Our APP team is highly regarded, recognized as a go-to resource for our medical staff. You will play a crucial role in patient care, including pre-rounding on assigned patients, formulating daily care plans, presenting on patient rounds, and documenting daily notes. Additionally, you will implement care plans discussed during rounds and address any concerns raised by nursing staff throughout the day. The APP is credentialed to perform essential procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, and more.
Nurse Practitioner (NP): The Nurse Practitioner operates under the Nurse Practitioner Standardized Process Protocol, collaborating closely with supervising physicians to deliver superior care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
Physician Assistant (PA): The Physician Assistant functions under the Physician Assistant Role Description, working in coordination with supervising physicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
