Role Overview:
- The Occupational Therapy Technician is a vital non-licensed team member who collaborates closely with licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists.
- This role involves operating within the guidelines of state laws and company protocols to ensure top-notch patient care.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for delivering exceptional support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas for patient sessions.
- Assist and monitor patients as they engage in their therapy exercises, recording their responses to treatments.
- Administer basic treatments such as applying ice and heat as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of therapy equipment and areas, including laundering linens.
- Perform administrative duties such as patient intake, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervising therapists.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in computer usage and able to learn new software quickly.
