The Role
As the Operational Safety Manager – Japan, you will be instrumental in establishing and sustaining the safety framework for Wayve’s operations as we expand into Japan. This is a unique chance to influence the safety culture, processes, and compliance protocols from the ground up, directly impacting how we test and deploy advanced driving technologies. Your expertise will be vital for risk mitigation, incident management, and regulatory alignment, ensuring our operations are not only safe but also set industry standards. By collaborating with global teams and local stakeholders, you will help shape the future of autonomous driving safety in Japan and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Risk Management – Monitor daily safety data, assess emerging risks, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Incident Investigation & Resolution – Lead investigations into safety events, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
