About the Role:
Skydio is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Operations Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of new product initiatives and ongoing projects within our Operations team. This pivotal position will allow you to make significant contributions that enhance quality, accelerate time-to-market, boost productivity, and optimize manufacturing operations, ultimately driving profitability as Skydio brings groundbreaking autonomous drones to market from our state-of-the-art American factory.
Your Impact:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, reliability, customer service, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and production teams to meticulously plan and execute the development, implementation, and support of new hardware products.
Project Objectives and Metrics: Establish clear objectives, deliverables, and metrics for projects, ensuring defined exit criteria for each phase to meet schedule, cost, quality, and capacity goals. Lead internal operations and production readiness meetings.
Project Planning and Communication: Plan and track project progress, communicate status updates, and escalate issues as necessary, overseeing risk management and problem-solving throughout the program lifecycle.
Program Review Leadership: Facilitate program review meetings, collaborating with cross-functional program managers to deliver concise and actionable updates, solicit vital feedback, and communicate risks effectively.
Process Development and Improvement: Enhance processes for supply chain, manufacturing, and quality to ensure timely completion of operational deliverables for successful project outcomes.
Coordination of Sustaining Activities: Manage and prioritize post-ramp qualification activities, including product enhancements, international expansion, transitions between contract manufacturers, engineering builds, system-level testing, ECO implementations, and end-of-life planning.
