Role Summary:
The Overnight Manager of Building Operations oversees scheduling, planning, and supervision of team members engaged in nightly building maintenance and event setup. This role involves creating and managing Back of House (BOH) trade event budgets for MSG Sphere, aligning staffing with event needs efficiently. Collaboration with Venue Operations department heads and the Director of Building Operations is essential to execute annual capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of Building Operations trades and departments, including Utility and Conversion Crews and the Custodial Department, with a focus on overnight operations.
- Work alongside the Director and VP of Building Operations to manage internal labor costs within the overall operating budget and individual event budgets.
- Ensure regular equipment maintenance and inventory management.
- Develop and approve staffing schedules for union and non-union labor, ensuring efficiency for both event requirements and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor facility conditions and plan, organize, and assign work to trade labor in a cost-effective manner, maintaining the highest service standards for guests and clients.
