Job Summary
Join Ahtna Professional Services, Inc. as a dedicated Armed Security Guard in Detroit, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. This position involves a combination of fixed-post, mobile, and foot patrols. You will be responsible for maintaining situational awareness, adhering to established post orders, and responding decisively to any incidents that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any unusual occurrences or significant events.
- Monitor alarms, radio communications, and other information streams, dispatching assistance as necessary.
- Respond to fire alarms, burglary alarms, and requests for assistance, addressing incidents such as vandalism, theft, and suspicious behaviors.
- Conduct thorough checks of vehicles and pedestrians entering or exiting the facility, following established protocols.
- Prevent unauthorized items from entering or leaving the premises.
- Escort personnel or vehicles as per established procedures.
- Utilize communication devices in accordance with company guidelines.
- Oversee APSI and client equipment, reporting any loss or damage promptly.
- Maintain logs for authorized equipment movements.
- Ensure the security of government properties and report any unauthorized actions.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and facilities.
- Issue required vehicle passes to authorized personnel.
- Monitor electronic access systems and report any violations.
- Conduct surveillance to detect unauthorized activities.
- Report any maintenance issues related to facility equipment and utilities.
