A successful Bartender warmly welcomes patrons, recalls their preferences, addresses inquiries, suggests menu items, and prepares beverages with precision. Your responsibilities will also include upselling products, creating unique drink recipes, utilizing the correct equipment and ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness. To thrive in this role, you should present a polished appearance and possess a friendly, engaging personality. Efficiency, attentiveness, knowledge, and a passion for craft cocktails are essential traits.
Main Duties
- Adhere to service protocols and company standards for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee, and bar drinks.
- Ensure your work area is clean and organized, cooperating with fellow bartenders to wash glassware and utensils, tidy up after customers, and maintain a sanitary work environment.
- Inform guests and members about beverage selections through House Tonic training.
- Articulate daily specials, seasonal menu items, and food pairing opportunities to enhance the dining experience and drive sales.
- Process payments for all items sold and proficiently operate the cash register.
- Verify customer identification to ensure age compliance for alcohol and tobacco purchases, and assess when a patron has reached their limit for alcohol consumption.
- Arrange bottles and glassware to create eye-catching displays that highlight specific beverage offerings to elevate sales and guest experiences.
- Provide service to customers in a friendly and accommodating manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Barbacks for replenishment as needed.
- Mix ingredients according to standardized recipes to ensure a cohesive beverage program and consistent experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
