The Cashier and Member Services Assistant is responsible for executing simple tasks that ensure member satisfaction, including preparing the warehouse before opening, stocking and placing products, and packaging purchases. This role may be performed in logistics or within the member services department, including cashiers and front desk support.
Main Responsibilities:
Delivers a high level of service, providing a warm and courteous welcome to members, guiding them, answering their questions, and assisting them with loading/unloading products into their carts.
Ensures compliance with safety protocols, internal procedures, particularly those related to storage, and maintains cleanliness in work areas. Pays special attention to the cleanliness and safety of workstations (cash lines, front desk, logistics, sales floor, etc.). Removes debris while following sorting instructions, eliminates slippery products, and calls maintenance for more complex operations if needed.
Assists in setting up displays, shelves, and racks, ensuring they are filled and maintained in good condition for sale.
Contributes to the overall efficiency of the department and the warehouse.
Provides assistance to other warehouse services as needed.
Specific Duties in Member Services, Cashier, and Front Desk:
Welcomes members and manages their carts. Ensures the unloading of goods, packaging, and proper placement in carts. Monitors their condition and reports any anomalies. Assists members in loading their purchases into their vehicles as necessary.
At opening, ensures the cash registers are stocked. Retrieves any register supplies, products, or information (such as an item number) as requested by cashiers to facilitate smooth transactions.
Organizes carts and baskets, as well as products at the end of service. Collects documentation.
Specific Duties in Merchandising:
Stocks and replaces merchandise in the warehouse, adhering to merchandising standards and practices.
Aligns products, collects, and returns misplaced items to their proper locations.
