Job Title: Chess Teacher (Part-Time)
Role Summary: Under the guidance of the Director of Educational Development, the Chess Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing an engaging extracurricular chess program for students ranging from elementary to high school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closely with the Director of Educational Development
- Design and facilitate interactive chess instructional sessions
- Create a diverse curriculum that encompasses various chess topics such as piece movement, strategic concepts, and competitive gameplay
- Encourage students to apply their skills and knowledge towards participation in chess competitions
- Exemplify appropriate academic and social conduct
- Perform additional duties as required

- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated responsibility, a commitment to student success, and adaptability.
- Solid understanding of fundamental academic concepts.

- Competence in data collection and analysis to inform instructional approaches.
- Ability to work independently, employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of chess.
