Join Centra Health as a Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) II, specializing in oncology, where you will play a pivotal role in individualized patient care. Our team is dedicated to promoting and restoring patients' health by adhering to medical and nursing care plans, along with established policies and procedures. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop, execute, and evaluate comprehensive care plans. This role involves managing a full patient assignment, enabling you to effectively plan, analyze, intervene, and set measurable goals for patient care. You will provide nursing services to patients and families, ensuring safe and quality care in accordance with the guidelines set by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
Clinical - Assessment
- Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments in accordance with the patient's condition and relevant policies, adjusting care priorities as necessary.
- Integrate nursing interventions into the multidisciplinary plan of care, aligning with standards of care and patient outcomes.
Clinical - Planning
- Develop and modify individualized care plans that incorporate medical plans and essential elements from other disciplines.
- Establish measurable patient goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Clinical - Intervention
- Administer treatments as ordered by healthcare providers promptly and accurately.
- Implement therapeutic interventions based on the individualized care plan for patients and their families.
- Identify potential problems and respond to data indicating urgent or emergent risks to patients.
- Initiate emergency resuscitative measures when appropriate.
- Take responsibility for managing care for a specialty patient population effectively.
- Deliver care with cultural sensitivity, preserving patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate interventions.
Clinical - Evaluation
- Evaluate patient responses to care in relation to established goals and nursing interventions.
- Make necessary changes to the interdisciplinary care plan based on evaluation outcomes and work with the specialty team to enhance patient outcomes.
