Join the esteemed Fairmont Chateau Laurier as a Part-Time Doorperson/Valet, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests from the moment they arrive. Reporting to the Guest Service Manager Valet, your duties will include:
- Welcoming guests at the entrance and assisting with parking of vehicles upon their arrival and departure.
- Greeting guests with a warm smile and promoting valet parking as the exclusive hotel parking option, while guiding those who prefer public parking to the right services.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to guarantee guest satisfaction during their stay.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and engaging with co-workers positively.
- Ensuring vehicle keys are properly labeled and securely stored.
- Communicating parking fees clearly and explaining the advantages of valet services.
- Keeping entrance areas clear and organized, facilitating smooth vehicle arrivals and departures.
- Conducting thorough inspections of guest vehicles for any pre-existing damage before parking them.
- Providing guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options as needed.
- Assisting guests with requests, such as retrieving items from their vehicles and any other needs they may have.
- Participating in fire response duties as outlined in hotel protocols.
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff by reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
- Adhering strictly to Fairmont Service Standards related to valet operations.
- Observing and reporting maintenance issues that require immediate attention.
- Possessing the ability to operate various types of vehicles, both manual and automatic.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
