The Role:
As a Ground Support Part-Time Employee, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of our tutoring programs in various classrooms nationwide. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting students with accessing the Tutored by Teachers platform and resolving any technical challenges they may face. Your background in classroom settings will equip you to manage learning environments effectively and tackle classroom-specific issues. We seek individuals with teaching experience who are adept with technology and can troubleshoot on-site problems.
This is a part-time position for the school year (September 2025 to May 2026) with compensation at approximately $30 per hour. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide students in logging into the Tutored by Teachers platform.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during platform setup and usage.
- Provide real-time support to students and teachers to facilitate smooth program execution.
- Collaborate with school staff to address technology and classroom management challenges.
- Communicate with Tutored by Teachers Engagement Managers to relay updates on program engagement.
- Ensure that all classroom technology, such as laptops and tablets, is fully operational and ready for use.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience as a classroom teacher or in pursuit of a teaching credential.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in troubleshooting tech issues, especially with Chromebooks and iPads.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple classroom environments.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying school settings and student needs.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- Availability during school hours.
- Must possess a car, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to different schools within LAUSD in a single day.
- Must be willing to undergo a fingerprint background check (at TbT's expense) to comply with school visitation requirements.
