As a clinically skilled and licensed registered nurse, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members while upholding the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, and develop and implement individualized care plans while coordinating care delivery and evaluating progress.
- Direct patient care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in providing direct support.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff, creating documented care plans focused on outcomes and clear communication.
- Engage in shared governance, committee involvement, and unit-based projects.
- Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in health records and tailor care plans based on evaluation findings.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, including research findings, to inform practice decisions.
