Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Sales Associate, you will enhance sales and foster strong customer relationships through outstanding customer service and effective selling techniques. Your daily responsibilities will include merchandising, product sales, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The core focus of this role is on customer service, sales, and collaboration with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit knowledge of fashion trends to meet customer needs by offering suitable merchandise while adhering to DTLR standards and building lasting relationships.
- Assist with shipments, restocking, pricing, and merchandising.
- Present a positive, energetic, and engaging demeanor to each customer while demonstrating enthusiasm for the job and the company.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in service training and product knowledge programs.
- Ensure compliance with visual standards, complete daily restock, and represent adequate size runs as per visual directives.
- Help mitigate employee and customer theft.
- Maintain a tidy and organized sales environment.
- Support store organization as directed by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill essential duties satisfactorily. The following qualifications represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education and Experience:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, although not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent command of the English language for effective communication with management, customers, and colleagues.
- Basic knowledge of fashion and style trends with a passion for customer interaction in a retail atmosphere.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, flexible communication, and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional customer service and manage inventory accurately.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push or pull merchandise as needed.
