Important Note:
- This position requires continuous residence in the UK for the past three years due to enhanced background checks.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay starting at £12.72 per hour, increasing to £13.25 per hour upon successful completion of X-Ray Screening training.
- Availability of shift rotation necessitating flexibility across weekends and bank holidays.
- Shifts available: Earliest start at 04:30 AM, latest finish by 00:00 AM (5 hours per shift).
- Guaranteed 20 hours per week with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts weekly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Control access to restricted areas of the airport.
- Conduct staff ID and boarding card checks.
- Prepare passengers, staff, and crew for security screening.
- Perform physical searches of individuals and items requiring access to restricted areas.
- Carry out x-ray duties for items entering restricted areas.
- Respond to on-site incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Execute escort duties as needed.
- Conduct patrols in assigned areas.
- Adhere to relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations and familiarize yourself with Belfast City Airport's local procedures.
- Complete required Security Training as per company compliance with CAA standards.
- Demonstrate a satisfactory level of competence assessed through performance evaluations.
- Engage in a culture of continuous improvement and self-development.
Shift Flexibility:
The airport operates 7 days a week, and candidates must exhibit full flexibility in terms of available days and hours. This schedule may change!
Example of 20 hours per week: Choose 3-4 shifts weekly with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts.
