Under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN), the technician will carry out fundamental patient care tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic nursing tasks as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, conducting blood glucose tests, and documenting intake and output.
- Assist patients with personal care and daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Communicate any abnormal findings or changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in patient rooms.
- Exhibit flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and execute unit tasks efficiently as patient and staff needs evolve.
- Act as a liaison between patient care units and other departments.
- Answer calls and inquiries courteously and relay information to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist the charge RN and/or assistant manager in managing overall unit workflow as needed.
- Conduct pre-census and validate daily admissions, discharges, and census lists as required.
This is a part-time position, requiring 48 hours per pay period, on day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including alternating weekends and holidays.
