Why This Role Matters:
Cohere is seeking a proactive Global Payroll Manager to lead and expand our payroll operations across North America, Europe, and APAC. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing as we experience rapid growth. Collaborating closely with Finance, People, Legal, and regional partners, you will develop a robust global payroll function. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces challenges, and can create scalable processes for a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations:
Manage comprehensive payroll processing for all global entities and employee demographics, including full-time employees, contractors, and international transfers.
Guarantee timely and precise payroll cycles (bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly) across various jurisdictions.
Review payroll inputs (compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, benefits, leave, etc.) and ensure their accuracy.
Oversee payroll reconciliations and execute monthly payroll-related close activities (journal entries, accruals, and variance analyses).
Act as the primary contact for payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
Systems & Process Optimization:
Drive process enhancements to boost accuracy and efficiency across payroll functions.
