Position Overview:
As an integral member of the Human Resources team, the People Services Administrator will provide essential administrative support across various HR functions. This role is pivotal in facilitating employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll coordination, benefits support, employee relations documentation, and compliance tracking. We seek a detail-oriented individual who can maintain confidentiality and excel in a dynamic, unionized manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
- Ensure HRIS systems are maintained and updated with accurate employee data and changes.
- Assist in payroll administration, including timecard audits, coding verification, and data entry.
- Support benefits administration during open enrollment and respond to employee inquiries.
- Maintain compliance documentation, including I-9s, leave tracking, and regulatory records.
- Provide administrative support for employee relations issues, including investigations and documentation.
- Assist with grievance tracking and the administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Generate HR reports and assist leadership with data requests.
- Help with scheduling interviews, recruitment coordination, and reference checks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and controls.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee information.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR administrative or generalist support role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment is preferred.
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong communication skills and the capability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
