About the job
At WelbeHealth PACE, we are dedicated to empowering seniors to remain in their homes and communities by delivering holistic medical care and community-focused services. Our mission is to serve the most vulnerable seniors with unparalleled quality and compassion, utilizing a value-based care model.
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays an essential role in our organization, offering support to our participants while actively engaging in the care planning process as part of our interdisciplinary team (IDT). Reporting directly to the Day Center Manager, the PCA will ensure the safe and effective delivery of personal care services at our WelbeHealth day center.
What sets our Personal Care Assistants apart at WelbeHealth:
- Opportunity to collaborate across various departments within our day centers, fostering strong relationships not only with participants but also with fellow team members.
- Unlike traditional assisted living facilities, our Personal Care Assistants have the unique chance to provide care in a vibrant day center where participants receive comprehensive services, including medical appointments, rehabilitation, and engaging activities.
We prioritize the well-being of our team members:
- Comprehensive medical insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision).
- Work-life balance: 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 recognized holidays annually, and 6 sick days.
- 401K savings plan with matching contributions.
- Competitive salary package that includes base pay and performance bonuses.
- A host of additional benefits!
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing hands-on personal care assistance with daily living activities (ADLs), including escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and safely transferring participants.
- Measuring and documenting vital signs as per instructions.
- Acting as a medical escort when necessary, aiding participants in boarding and exiting WelbeHealth transportation vehicles.
- Monitoring activity on the day center floor to ensure participant safety.
- Assisting with meal service, ensuring participants receive the appropriate meals and providing feeding assistance when required.
