- POSITION SUMMARY
- As a vital member of the pharmacy team, the Pharmacy Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation, mixing, compounding, and dispensing of medications. Adhering to the hospital's approved policies and standard operating procedures, the technician supports the pharmaceutical needs of patients at Berkshire Medical Center (BMC), including its clinics and staff. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

- QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- At least 6 months of experience in an inpatient hospital setting is required.

- Education and Training:
- Proficiency in all functions related to the role of a Hospital Pharmacy Technician is expected.

- Licensure and Certification:
- Must hold a valid MA Pharmacy Technician Registration.

- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision from a pharmacist is necessary.
- Moderate computer proficiency is required due to significant interaction with automation software and technology.
- Strong mathematical skills are essential, including the ability to calculate fractions, ratios, and decimals.
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess good moral character, and have no history of drug-related felony convictions.
- Occasional travel may be required for deliveries.
