About the job
At WelbeHealth, every participant in our program is supported by an interdisciplinary team (IDT) that includes both clinical and non-clinical professionals working together to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
The Physical Therapist plays a vital role within the IDT, concentrating on care planning and the coordination and provision of restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to enhance participants' independence and safety.
This role is unique because Physical Therapists at WelbeHealth:
- Manage lower patient volumes—no more juggling 3-4 patients per hour.
- Build long-lasting relationships with participants rather than engaging in brief rehab assignments.
- Collaborate closely with other therapists, healthcare providers, and various disciplines.
- Enjoy a balanced work/life dynamic—no extensive documentation after hours.
We value our team members, which is why we offer:
- Comprehensive medical insurance (including Medical, Dental, and Vision).
- A true work/life balance—17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 observed holidays annually, and 6 sick days.
- 401K retirement savings plan with matching contributions.
- A competitive compensation package that includes base salary and bonuses.
- Additional perks to enhance your experience!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Physical Therapy assessments in our facility, and occasionally at participants' homes, to identify their care needs, preferences, and goals.
- Actively engaging in IDT meetings to develop tailored care plans for participants.
- Delivering and documenting therapeutic interventions as outlined in participant care plans.
- Providing active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional training for daily living activities (ADLs), and various treatments including massage, heat therapy, sound therapy, hydrotherapy, light therapy, or electrical stimulation.
- Supervising Therapy Assistants, offering the training and guidance necessary to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP).
- Educating staff, participants, and caregivers/families on the proper use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.
