Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Planning Associate to support our lead advisors in our New Providence, NJ office, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead advisors in providing outstanding client service across various activities, including onboarding new assets.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks while managing multiple projects and keeping team members informed.
- Help prepare for client meetings and documentation.
- Draft client Investment Policy Statements and asset allocation reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their accountants, and attorneys, both verbally and in writing.
- Attend client meetings to support documentation and follow-up actions.
- Be flexible and assist with visitor management, phone calls, and meeting schedules as needed.
Long-Term Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client interviews to collect personal financial information and establish planning objectives.
- Develop holistic financial plans that cover investment strategies, taxation, retirement, estate planning, executive compensation, risk management, cash flow, and educational funding.
- Guide clients in the execution of their financial plans.
- Participate in client meetings to support the main relationship manager.
- Analyze and interpret investment allocation trading reports.
- Collaborate with the client service team to enhance client service activities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally may be required.
