Join our dynamic team as a Planning Engineer, where your expertise will shape the infrastructure of tomorrow. You will be responsible for:
- Creating, reviewing, and sustaining comprehensive project schedules (baseline, recovery, and revised programs) using Primavera P6 or similar planning software, ensuring adherence to RTA specifications and standard work breakdown structures.
- Monitoring project progress against approved baselines, pinpointing delays and critical path impacts, and conducting schedule risk analysis and time impact analysis as per contractual obligations.
- Coordinating planning activities in accordance with RTA approval processes, including interim milestones, traffic staging, sectional handover requirements, and the integration of authority approvals (NOCs, permits, traffic diversion approvals).
- Evaluating contractors' programs, planning submissions, and method statements against RTA contractual milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and phasing requirements.
- Preparing master schedules, look-ahead programs, and weekly/monthly progress reports in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Assessing and justifying Extension of Time (EOT) claims, supporting delays with detailed planning narratives and evidence.
- Collaborating with construction, procurement, design, and commercial teams to ensure alignment of schedules, resources, and project deliverables.
- Formulating recovery and mitigation plans to tackle delayed activities and realign project timelines.
- Tracking procurement, long-lead items, approvals, and permits to maintain schedule compliance and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Conducting weekly and monthly planning meetings with stakeholders, issuing meeting minutes, and providing planning insights to support Project Manager decision-making.
- Maintaining thorough planning documentation and ensuring compliance with project controls and QA/QC procedures.
- Assisting project close-out by preparing as-built programs and final planning reports.
