About the Position
We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Nutrition and Public Health, with the role based in Penang, Malaysia or Zanzibar, Tanzania. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic team focused on enhancing diets and nutrition among vulnerable populations in the Global South through aquatic foods. The role is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with partners worldwide, providing a unique experience in diverse cultural and professional contexts. This position is pivotal in driving research projects aimed at improving nutrition and food security through aquatic food systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive analyses of global datasets to explore critical questions regarding the transformation of aquatic food systems and their impact on dietary patterns and nutrition.
- Contribute to global initiatives designed to enhance aquatic food value chains, thereby improving dietary diversity and nutrition outcomes.
- Influence the design of aquatic food systems projects to effectively address diet quality and nutrition outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct data analyses utilizing dietary, spatial, and biological datasets.
- Supervise the execution of field-based human nutrition studies.
- Lead and collaborate on scientific publications.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement research initiatives.
- Share findings to inform policy and practice.
