We are seeking our future postdoctoral researcher in optimization for statistical learning to join the Image, Data, Signal (IDS) department at Telecom Paris.
The S²A team is affiliated with the internal research laboratory of Telecom Paris, LTCI. The team's expertise spans several disciplines: probabilistic modeling, statistics, optimization, audio signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, and computational linguistics.
This team utilizes its skills to conduct methodologically rigorous research that addresses the challenges posed by the nature and format of modern data, as well as the high societal expectations surrounding the development of artificial intelligence solutions that are not only effective but also reliable, robust, ethical, and sustainable.
Specifically, the “Probabilities/Optimization” branch of the team explores theoretical questions related to understanding the algorithms used in machine learning, particularly for training neural networks and tuning parameters.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Conducting research focused on optimization for statistical learning.
Providing guidance and mentorship.
Contributing to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom, and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
