Practice Assistant @ Midi Health

Join a dynamic team at Midi Health as a dedicated and detail-oriented Practice Assistant. In this essential position, you will play a crucial role in supporting both clinical and administrative operations, ensuring the smooth coordination of documents, patient requests, referrals, and records management. Your contributions will significantly enhance care delivery and improve clinician productivity.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Documents & Chart Management
Receive, review, flag, and route document requests (including consult notes, disability requests, and subpoenas) to the appropriate teams following established workflows. Ensure accurate filing in the EMR and conduct necessary follow-up actions. - Administration of Phone & Messaging
Triage inbound administrative calls and messages (Athena “Admin Phone Messages”), escalating or routing them to the appropriate team members as per established protocols. - Medical Records Coordination
Manage incoming medical records from external providers, oversee document uploads, index in EMR, and resolve issues related to missing or incomplete data. Communicate follow-ups with patients or providers as necessary. Coordinate Midi requests for external records, overseeing all medical records-related steps for any Midi Health SOPs that involve them. - Slack Channel Operations
Monitor and manage Medical Records Slack requests by tagging cases, escalating urgent items, and ensuring case closure statuses are maintained according to team protocols. - Referrals Processing
Initiate, track, and confirm referrals and consult orders. Work collaboratively with patients, referring providers, and Midi clinicians to ensure timely completion. Follow up until receipt confirmation and close the referral loop. - Post-Visit Documents
Execute all workflows related to document delivery to patients following their visits, serving as the safety net for our automated processes.
