Join our dynamic team as a Press Operator at Senior Metal Bellows, where innovation meets precision. In this role, you will:
Utilize blueprints, route sheets, and detailed instructions to manufacture high-quality components, ensuring exceptional attention to detail throughout the production process.
Set up and operate hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons, while adhering to all safety and operational standards.
Engage in rubber-to-metal stamping (prior experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate).
Work with a variety of materials such as Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock, maintaining thicknesses between .001" to .008" to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Perform set-ups and, when necessary, seek assistance for intricate configurations. Conduct in-process inspections according to ES Specifications to confirm that all components meet dimensional and quality standards. Maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments as needed, escalating any unusual issues to the supervisor.
Verify product quality through quantitative charting methods, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), and utilize a variety of precision measuring tools, such as contour readers and non-contact measuring systems.
Employ basic computer skills for labor transactions and other necessary system functions, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
