We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in primary care to manage a diverse range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing primary care principles to effectively manage both acute and chronic health issues.
- Conducting initial evaluations and providing treatment for minor wound care, respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses, as well as musculoskeletal injuries, dermatological conditions, ENT, eye, and urological issues.
- Overseeing the ongoing management of chronic diseases including coronary artery disease, diabetes, hypertension, and mental health conditions such as PTSD and depression.
- Ensuring punctuality for scheduled duties, as evidenced by your physical presence in the Primary Care unit at the designated start time.
- Adhering to established medication policies, ensuring no sample medications are dispensed to patients.
- Communicating test results to patients in compliance with VHA Directive 1088.
- Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives and attending relevant committee meetings as directed.
- Completing quality management documentation related to all procedures and patient outcomes.
- Documenting patient care accurately in the EHR, selecting appropriate Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes to support billing.
- Participating in staff meetings as required.
- Following established patient safety and infection control practices.
- Completing mandatory compliance education as specified by regulatory agencies.
