Position: Principal Administrative Analyst I (Real Estate Analyst) - Real Estate Services Division
Project Focus: Strategic Portfolio Analysis and Implementation
Location: 525 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco, CA
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Real Estate Services Division (RES) is dedicated to maximizing revenue for SFPUC ratepayers through effective management and leasing of real properties under SFPUC jurisdiction across seven counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne. Additionally, RES is tasked with acquiring properties and easements for SFPUC capital initiatives, negotiating real estate transactions, and reviewing third-party projects to ensure compliance with SFPUC policies and mitigate potential impacts on infrastructure and lands.
The SFPUC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Principal Administrative Analyst I (Real Estate Analyst) who is eager to contribute to the organization's goals and policies.
Key Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the Real Estate Analyst will engage in complex transactions involving the lease, acquisition, and sale of non-residential real estate. Responsibilities include: (1) daily analysis of title documents; (2) effective communication with stakeholders; and (3) drafting and negotiating leases and agreements related to property and easement transactions. You will report directly to the SFPUC Real Estate Director.
Essential Skills and Duties:
- Negotiate and draft complex agreements, including deeds, purchase and sale contracts, and easements.
- Facilitate project reviews by engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive real estate reports, graphics, and spreadsheets for departmental, commission, and supervisory review.
- Create maps using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
- Provide recommendations on land-related environmental, economic, and legal matters, including evaluations in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, local ordinances, and title transfers.
- Ensure projects comply with SFPUC policies and standards.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory and advisory bodies, collaborating with SFPUC staff to address land use and environmental concerns.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
