THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced cell biologist and assay developer to spearhead our in vitro pharmacology initiatives. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be tasked with conceptualizing, developing, and executing in vitro pharmacology strategies to support the advancement of our pipeline. This position involves both laboratory work and leadership of a cross-functional project team, along with mentoring junior scientists. The incumbent may also contribute to in vivo and ex vivo pharmacology efforts to further project and platform goals. Collaboration across various teams will be essential, providing an opportunity to significantly influence our platform and overall company development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and execute cell-based assays to evaluate Syntein™ activity, target engagement, and mechanisms of action for discovery initiatives.
- Lead efforts within the Pharmacology team to identify and implement relevant cell-based assays across diverse target classes and disease areas.
- Guide a cross-functional project team, driving strategies for advancing multiple hit series.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacology team on biochemistry and biophysics projects, providing expertise and mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in in vivo and ex vivo pharmacology activities to support project and platform advancement.
- Engage cross-functionally to enable innovative methods, assays, and screening workflows.
- Ensure the rapid generation and precise reporting of high-quality data, collaborating with Computational Design and Chemistry teams to facilitate design-make-test cycles.
- Effectively communicate findings and strategies to key stakeholders.
