Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated Privacy Counsel to join Sierra’s esteemed legal team. In this pivotal role, you will champion privacy compliance initiatives from inception to execution, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles and robust data governance into our platform’s operations. You will be an integral part of a legal team recognized for its excellence, collaboration, and commitment to making a meaningful impact.
Influence global privacy and data protection compliance, navigating regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI-specific frameworks.
Develop and scale Sierra’s privacy program encompassing policies, playbooks, risk frameworks, and training initiatives.
Stay abreast of global privacy and AI regulatory changes, advising leadership on their implications for Sierra’s offerings and clientele, with a focus on industries like healthcare and financial services.
Formulate and enforce privacy and AI governance policies and frameworks to support responsible deployment, ethical data usage, and compliance with regulations.
Your Qualifications
3-5 years of legal experience, with a minimum of 3 years spent at a reputable law firm specializing in privacy and data protection.
Strong understanding of global privacy laws, particularly GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, and familiarity with AI regulatory considerations.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for privacy advocacy and ethical data management.
