Join our dynamic Privacy & Information Governance Team at Chainalysis, where we are dedicated to managing data in a lawful, defensible, and operationally sound manner throughout its entire lifecycle. Our team focuses on privacy compliance, data governance, retention and deletion strategies, as well as the operational response to legal requests such as subpoenas, court orders, and legal holds.
As a pivotal link between Legal, Security, and business operations, we translate legal and regulatory mandates into repeatable, auditable processes that drive our organization towards success.
As a Privacy & Information Governance eDiscovery (PIGE) Analyst, you will implement and oversee our day-to-day privacy program, manage data governance operations, and ensure compliance with our internal policies. Your role will involve translating leadership directives into effective controls, processes, and employee training that resonate across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operationalizing privacy and governance policies through comprehensive procedures, playbooks, and workflows.
Managing data subject rights requests, including access, deletion, correction, and opt-out requests.
Collaborating with IT and Security teams to enforce retention schedules, deletion processes, and effective records management.
Conducting Privacy Risk Management activities, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
Executing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and other risk assessments while maintaining comprehensive risk registers.
Coordinating incident response in collaboration with Security and Legal teams.
Monitoring compliance metrics and preparing insightful reports for leadership review.
Delivering engaging privacy and information governance training to employees.
Acting as the primary contact for business teams regarding privacy and data handling inquiries.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
3-4 years of experience in privacy operations, compliance, or information governance.
In-depth knowledge of data subject rights and operational privacy requirements.
Experience with records management, retention schedules, and data lifecycle processes.
Ability to effectively coordinate across IT, Legal, Security, and various business functions.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
