Position Overview:
As the Procurement Manager – Planning and Purchasing, reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, you will take ownership of inventory planning, statistical forecasting, vendor management, and the complete purchasing lifecycle. This pivotal role is responsible for driving the supply planning engine and purchasing process, ensuring revenue safeguarding, accuracy of cost of goods sold (COGS), efficient working capital, and prevention of stockouts.
Scope of Responsibility:
- Lead and maintain the Sales and Operations planning process, developing demand and supply planning models on both weekly and monthly timelines.
- Oversee 12-month supply modeling, replenishment planning, and forecast reconciliation.
- Facilitate demand and supply balancing, incorporating scenario modeling for growth, promotions, constraints, and risks.
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including purchase order (PO) creation, expediting, follow-ups, cost validation, and tracking.
- Establish and uphold PO cadence and vendor compliance with lead times, pricing, and service levels.
- Lead vendor performance management, focusing on delivery adherence, escalations, and corrective measures.
- Maintain item master data, ensuring alignment across Salesforce, Datex FootPrint (WMS), and Finance systems.
- Track and report on inventory health KPIs, such as weeks of supply, MAPE, stockouts, aging inventory, refurb yield, and inbound adherence.
- Collaborate closely with Finance on budget cycles, COGS modeling, forecast updates, and variance analysis.
- Deliver clear and predictable inventory and supply signals to Sales, Care, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
- Implement redundancy, documentation, and continuity planning for inventory planning and purchasing operations.
- Ensure adherence to organizational guidelines, internal controls, and financial governance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
