Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and assist business teams in assessing potential new suppliers, materials, and products, focusing on mitigating risks associated with product safety and chemical requirements from the outset.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for business teams and partners (e.g., Connect Responsible/Chemical Navigators) to build knowledge on IKEA product requirements including specifications, testing, and IT tools.
- Support teams and partners in assessing the safety of chemical substances and processes during production to ensure safe operations.
- Perform spot-checks as per the Purchasing Manual on “Gate Check Before First Delivery” to confirm adherence to IKEA requirements.
- Oversee the verification process for product compliance on the current range, collaborating with the business team to monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate the implementation of IKEA's Chemical Direction within the Supply Area, including support for IWAY regarding globally agreed chemical-related production.
- Map critical chemical substances/materials and processes, conducting risk assessments and XRF screening tests on high-risk materials, particularly targeting low-performing suppliers.
- Participate in the Global Product Requirement Review process as a reviewer.
- Contribute to the development of new and updated IOS specifications and other product requirements, as well as working methods and tools for global compliance.
- Assist the GO/NOGO auditor in Connect-related components during production unit assessments.
- Act as a Supply Area risk member, conducting troubleshooting in case of safety alarms.
